Interactive Technology for Scenario Practices

Transform your teaching with our artificial intelligence tool! Energize the case method and engage your students in an interactive and modern learning experience. Discover how our platform can enrich your courses and prepare your students for tomorrow's challenges.

AUNEGE invites its members to use this conversational artificial intelligence tool designed for teachers to revitalize the case study method.

Usage

Context

Initially designed to interact with a virtual entrepreneur to help students develop diagnostic and recommendation entrepreneurial skills, the tool can also be used in alternative dialogue situations with one or multiple virtual interlocutors. It can be used for exchanges in French or other languages.

Authentication

Authentication can be performed by clicking below. However, to prevent AUNEGE from manually creating accounts, it is highly recommended to use an activity from any Moodle platform of an affiliated university previously identified by AUNEGE.

Student User Guide

This guide will support you in getting started with the tool, interacting with the virtual agent, and successfully completing your exercises. Discover how to use TIPS in just a few clicks!

Teacher User Guide

This guide explains how to create your own case studies and monitor your students' progress. It helps you effectively leverage AI to mentor your students.

TIPS Coordinator User Guide

This documentation is intended for local TIPS coordinators. It details how to manage user accounts within your department.

Topic Creation

Instructors wishing to create topics must submit a request to AUNEGE (or to their department's local TIPS coordinator) to obtain "Topic Creator" status, indicating their university and affiliated department.
They will then be able to create as many cases as they wish and deploy them with their students.

Tests and Limitations

TIPS has been deployed since 2023 across numerous scenarios, including large-scale Learning and Evaluation Situations with cohorts of up to 150 students. Despite comprehensive testing, software bugs may still occur. Neither AUNEGE nor the creators can guarantee 24/7 high-availability technical support.

Since May 2025, generative AI architectures provided by the ILaaS consortium (a trusted, robust, ethical, and energy-conscious AI ecosystem) are recommended over OpenAI services (the creators of ChatGPT).
All system data is securely stored within this application for a maximum period of 5 years.
Exchanging data with generative AI infrastructures generates API token costs. These expenses remain highly budget-friendly: the first educational experiments conducted in 2023/2024 by the creators generated a total infrastructure cost below $10. AUNEGE provides access to partner universities within fair-use policies: past a flat cost threshold of $20 / month, AUNEGE reserves the right to request a financial contribution from the corresponding institution.

TIPS Coordinators

Institutions can designate one or more local TIPS coordinators. This role is ideal for instructional designers or advanced professors wishing to coordinate local implementations.
Coordinators are authorized to:
- Grant local topic creation or coordinator privileges to other users within the department,
- Monitor and manage user accounts within their department,
- Access all case studies (and related simulation logs) created inside their department to provide optimized support to their users.
